❤ The best parody zombie movies. I watched this like when I was really young and I still loved it. It is really funny and enjoyable to watch. Lots of themes are mixed in here which spices up the movie. It was exciting constantly throughout the whole movie. Loved it!

❤ This is an excellent movie with that really good humour. It also has some emotional and scary parts, but it's mostly funny. There are some really good and creative comedic scenes. The acting was incredible especially for Simon Peggy and overall great movie.

❤ This was probably one of the best Zombie movies ever - funny, scary and very British- an awesome film as an homage to horror films or on its own - so well done!

❤ Okay, you can definitely live without it. I have no idea what the raves are about, someone needs to draw me a map. It's not excellent, scary or interesting. I can hear something from that Monty Python movie where the peasants are gathering "lovely filth" over here and there in this beautifully oppressive and gloomy environment. Makes you real dang glad it ain't the 1500-1600's and all that puritan garbage is long dead and in the past. Witch burning, purification, bible verses, girls tortured by their own fathers for being pregnant..crazy dudes in their own rapture quoting bible verses and holding people hostage (just like the modern republican party: fear of God, fear of the patriarch, forced nationalism, women in service to men, ordering everyone else to be good and righteous go to bed early, while they sneak off at night making their own deals with the devil)...the movie sucks, save yourself a couple hours. I think the Netflix movies are far less quality than their series counterparts.
Hush is possibly one of the best horror movies of 2016. With an almost instantly likable protagonist, scares that don't rely on jumping out at you, and a killer that, while no Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers, will have you on the edge of your seat the second the killer makes his first move (If you're intelligent and can tell how amazing this seemingly simple film is anyways).

❤ Don't believe any bad reviews on this. The movie knows what it wants to be and does it extremely well, just like the Raid movies. Well acted, very well shot and it ultimately very satisfying too. Some parts of the raid I felt were horror'esque in terms of the frightening tension and you can certainly tell its the same director for Apostle. Gareth doesn't shy away from hardcore violence and it fits. There aren't any jump scares per se but ramped up tension throughout, I got the feeling of the wickerman (cult, island, sacrifices for crops etc) but with more lore and reveals which I liked. If you like the raid movies, horror, or satisfying revenge thrillers then you will love this.

❤ Was impressed by this movie! The actors were actually very well put together and I enjoyed their performances- the plot was a little weak to me, and I think it could've been a much more enriching experience if they had focused on the lore of the island and what was on it rather than making Thomas and his sister such a strong focal point of the movie. But for what it was, and considering it is a Netflix production I was really pleased with it!

❤ Believable and creepy, nicely paced with a menacing soundtrack. Excellent camera work. I didn't stop watching for a moment, the first nasty scene is disturbing enough to intrigue and engage the viewer, I was worried it would be too horrible to watch but I found it so atmospheric, I kept with it. The film uses old original folklore and written accounts, which is fascinating, especially the ending!

❤ STUNNING. The Witch is phenomenal. Extremely UNIQUE,  extremely INTELLIGENT, GRIPPING & HIGHLY ENTERTAINING. I was mesmerized in the first 10 minutes. And Black Phillip, Forget Freddy  & jason & michael. Who would of thought a goat could be so DAMN TERRIFYING lol. The Witch is a MUST SEE. The ending will stay with you for quite some time.

❤ This was not a good or smart movie. Setting it in colonial New England and making it about witches is kind of a slap in the face to the innocent women that died during the witch trials. I was hoping to see a period piece that might be grounded in reality, which in text is way scarier than this trash, but got a piece of Christian propaganda. It was a waste of an hour and a half of my time. Next!

Story –

Cargo is a 2017 Australian post-apocalyptic drama thriller film directed by Ben Howling and Yolanda Ramke with a screenplay by Ramke based on their 2013 short film of the same name. The film stars Martin Freeman, Anthony Hayes, Susie Porter, and Caren Pistorius.

Review - (Source: Google Search)

❤ Stumbled upon this movie because I saw Martin freeman and thought why not. Best decision ever. I have seen many many apocalypse movies, and very few that I really like. This is one of them. If you have Netflix and haven’t seen it than you must do it now. The characters felt so real. I can’t believe I wasted time on the nonsensical bird box. This is way more intriguing with a clearer plot.

❤ Totally loved watching the movie Cargo. Very touching and it's also kind of sad at the end. I hate how the father died and left his little baby but at least he saved her. Very inspirational movie that shows that a father can do anything for their kids it made me cry at the very end

❤ Nice zombie movie with an emotional touch, a good family movie catering to different audience. I see it as a swipe against White man’s occupation of Australia and its heinous aftermath but not all White people are bad! It really attempts to connect with indegenius people of Australia and a father’s ordeal to save her daughter from zombies that were probably the outcome of man’s careless destruction of nature!!

The Gift

IMDB Rating – 6.9/10

Director – Mike Flanagan

Producer – Trevor Macy, Jason Blum

Writers – Mike Flanagan, Kate Siegel

Cast – John Gallagher Jr., Michael Trucco, Kate Siegel

Release Date –  08 April 2016

Language – English

Story –

A couple, Simon and Robyn, run into Gordo, an old acquaintance. Gordo begins to drop in unannounced at their house and inundates them with mysterious gifts.

Review - (Source: Google Search)

❤ Unrealistic plots, might as well be a sci-fi movie. So much holes and eye brows raising cliché. Viewers left empty and disgusted. Viewers did not like it. This movie will only please few people. I've seen a lot of movies and I can say this movie is one of the worse in 2015. Jason Bateman was good but I think I got used to it seeing him in goofy movies and I don't think he is the right guy for the role specially for this kind of movie. It is very predictable. Very slow and incomplete character introductions. This is for killing time and if you like to torture your self with slow pace movie this is for you. Nothing I can say more. peace.

❤ 'The Gift' is a psychological thriller in the true sense of the word. It's all about psychology: at the end of the film, the lead characters are completely different persons from who they seemed to be at the beginning. The hero becomes the villain, and vice versa.

Not many directors can pull this off in a believable way, but Joel Edgerton does it perfectly. Every development is logical and the screenplay is constructed in an extremely clever way. It centres on Robyn, a housewife who slowly discovers that her husband not only hides episodes from his past from her, but also is a very different sort of person from the one she thought he was. The truth is slowly uncovered because a person from the past turns up on their doorstep, and makes Robyn question her husband's statements.

There are no unnecessary sidelines, so the story stays focused and the viewer is constantly challenged to reassess his view on what he sees happening. Even at the very end, there is a nice twist to make the viewer keep on questioning if what he thinks happened, really happened. This is a very entertaining movie with lots of suspense.

❤ I went into this movie with modest expectations. I was thoroughly entertained for most of the movie as this movie builds and maintains your suspense masterfully. It has just enough ambiguity and creepiness to keep you on the edge of your seat. Also, I thought all of the actors/actresses played their roles very well. That was what I liked about the movie.

Story –

Reuniting after the tragic death of their friend, four college pals set out to hike through the Scandinavian wilderness. A wrong turn leads them into the mysterious forests of Norse legend, where an ancient evil exists and stalks them at every turn.

Review - (Source: Google Search)

❤The Ritual is one of the best horror movie genres to date. It calls back to tense situations over jumps are after jumpscare, using intricate themes and visuals to both terrify you, creep you out, and gross you out. It far exceeds all the criteria of a good horror movie. 5/5 Stars, would watch on repeat until I die.
❤ I was okay with the reveal but I really liked the build-up to the reveal. And since the build-up to the reveal is the majority of the film, I can say I enjoyed the film.

The Ritual is tense. It has scary moments, most of which are not in-your-face but rather felt through the direness of the characters. If I were one among the characters, I'd be hopeless and lost. I can say the same about The Blairwitch Project, Backcountry, or even Frozen.

❤ Watch it at night with lights off. Its an atmospheric horror movie. You can relate to the situation that what if you stuck in this situation. Really engaging movie. Dont expect a lot of jump scares. Its the story, acting and most important sound effect of the film which are very good.

Story –

An isolated town lives in fear of an unknown monster from the surrounding woods. But when one from the community is badly injured, a blind girl sets out into the woods to find help from beyond.

Review - (Source: Google Search)

❤ Love it! When I first saw it the claustrophobia of the village itself made complete sense to me along with the fear of leaving the prison one is locked in. A beautiful anathema. Well done though derided by some  (mainly those who haven't watched it or indeed been in a small community and therfore don't understand the complexities) . Well worth a look. I'd give it a sound 3.5-4 out of five. But given background to me it was a 5.

❤This movie is awesome. It does have some problematic elements with the treatment of Adrien Brody's character. However, I love literally every other part of this movie. The romance, the costumes, the premise, the minimalist score. So good.

❤ It is a well directed and acted film.... Cinematography is amazing...... I don't know why this film is so underrated... M.night is a genius....... This is one of those movies which makes u think i en after it has ended... It always stays with you...!

Extraordinary Tales

IMDB Rating – 6.5/10

Director –  Raul Garcia, Raúl García

Producer – Trevor Macy, Jason Blum

Writers –  Raul Garcia, Stéphan Roelants

Cast –  Christopher Lee, Bela Lugosi, Julian Sands

Release Date –  27 June 2015

Language – English

Story –

Christopher Lee, Bela Lugosi and Julian Sands narrate the Edgar Allan Poe stories "The Tell-Tale Heart," "The Pit and the Pendulum," "The Fall of the House of Usher," "The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar" and "The Masque of the Red Death."

Review - (Source: Google Search)

❤ Raúl García’s “Extraordinary Tales” is an animated anthology film of Edgar Allan Poe stories narrated by luminaries like Christopher Lee, Guillermo Del Toro and even Bela Lugosi himself (using old audio footage). To be blunt, it’s kind of difficult to mess that up too much. Christopher Lee reading Edgar Allan Poe? Sign me up. Both the source material and the man reading it are legendary. And that inherent cool factor in “Extraordinary Tales” carries the final product a very long way, although its shortcomings do sometimes force me to wonder if it could have been a masterpiece instead of a mere curiosity. As is, a few decisions made by García in the filmmaking process hold “Extraordinary Tales” back from its true potential, although if it introduces filmgoers to the works of Poe (or Lee or Lugosi, for that matter), it’s done some good.

❤ Edgar Allen Poe's stories have endured for decades, and with showings like this--demonstrating how his work continues to fire the imagination--they'll continue to do so for years to come.

Each animation style is uniquely suited to the story. The choice of a stark black-and-white stylistic animation combined with the incredible sound of Bela Lugosi reading "The Tell-Tale Heart" was sheer perfection. Sir Christopher Lee and Julian Sands matched 'Dracula's' prowess in reading with fully immersive and emotional narration.

And Guillermo del Toro... My gods. He was absolutely the PERFECT choice for reading "The Pit and the Pendulum." The inflection, the emotion and the intensity of his narration was completely profound. Although I was a little disappointed that the final piece--"Masque of the Red Death"--wasn't narrated, that changed in seconds with how incredibly effective the purely visual storytelling was.

The score was amazing. So completely suited to this absolutely overwhelming piece. Everything about this was mind-blowing and I will be purchasing a hard copy as soon as I possibly can.

❤As anthology films go, it's very good. Poe is one of the most popular authors of all time, so adapting his work is nothing new, but presenting it in this style is refreshing. I liked the art style for all 5 segments, especially "Th House of Usher" sequence with Christopher Lee narrating. It does the stories justice as well, because they're not stretched to fill a whole movie. A couple problems though, while I understand the significance of Bela Lugosi narrating, the audio quality is the worst of the segments. However, the story is super familiar to me, and the animation helps show what's happening, so I won't complain that much. The second complaint I have is del Toro narrating. His accent is almost too thick to actually tell what he's saying, and the story isn't as familiar to me as the other ones, so I was left confused. Aside from that though, this is a very well done adaptation of multiple Poe stories, that treats it's author with respect.

❤ The Conjuring is the best out of the Conjuring Universe still the strongest still a great movie and still a movie i enjoy lets start with the good the best thing about this movie is the cast they are great from beginning to end. The effects are awesome. The setup is great. The direction is also really good James Wan did a great job directing this movie. The bad. I only have one problem with this movie is the editing its a bit to shakye and thats it i really enjoy this movie i still do im going to give The Conjuring a 4.75/5 damn good movie.

❤ Still I haven't seen this movie LoL but whenever I even got think about this I started having Goosebumps.. I'd saw the trailers n some clips .. n am sure after watching Conjuring 1 n 2 I can't get it out of my head.. I usually don't get scared in most of the horror movies..But this is the one whom by which I got scared hehe. I wud suggest adults to see this movie or those u r enough strong.. or else if kids will saw they will be got vanished into horror world they'll act like

❤ In my opinion, this was the best movie in the conjuring franchise. It had everything that was good. There were small references that we, audiences noticed that played a big part in the near end bits, lots of demonic  characters that all played a big role (Unlike conjuring 2) and the storyline was interesting. It wasn't scary in my perspective but it was the best out of all conjurings for me. 4 stars.

❤ This has been one of my favourite horror films of all time! The plot is unnerving and so is the background score and the acting too. I especially love how they show a positive ending for both the families. It teaches us that even in the darkest of times, there's hope; always.

Director – Zak Hilditch

Producer – Trevor Macy, Jason Blum

Writers – Zak Hilditch

Cast –  Thomas Jane , Neal McDonough , Molly Parker

Release Date –  23 September 2017

Language – English

Story –

A rancher conspires to murder his wife for financial gain and convinces his teenage son to participate.

Review - (Source: Google Search)

❤ Absolutely worth the price of admission (so to speak). This movie is a slow boil suspense following a family falling apart through diabolical desperation.
For the most part the negative reviewers have no earthly idea what they are talking about. A number of the down votes I've seen have been due to the fact that they wanted heart pounding horror. If you actually take the time to read King and check the listed genre of the movie you won't be disappointed. If your favorite movie is "Child's Play" well then you're in trouble... for a multitude of reasons.

❤ Must watch film. Slightly slow but yes, it is gripping altogether.
Shows what guilt can do to a person.
It can break and beat the pulp out you, if left unattended.
It is so overpowering that it can ricochet back anytime and make you regret certain doings of yours.
There are those people who have learnt, mastered the art of remaining unaffected by it and then there are those who fall for it hitting the rock bottom.

❤ This movie may have a slow start, but I am a big fan of Stephen King novels and type of scary. The orchestra and soundtrack is great and intense while the plot is immersive and entertaining. This movie is not a jump scare movie or a conventional “horror” movie. I liked this movie very much and if I had to compare it to another movie it would be similar to that of “the vvitch”, a suspenseful thriller.

❤ With only five characters, one location and a pretty simple plot, you'd expect this film to be decent popcorn entertainment at best.

❤ It was a good movie. The main protagonist definitely did a great job with making logical assumptions with what she had. And the actress did a great job bringing that character to life. The only issue I had with this movie is the fact that we don't know why that killer did what he was doing although there was one hint that made it seem that he was doing for "sport". Also I would have loved to see how she'd explain everything to the police. All-in-all I really enjoyed it.

❤ I LOVE IT! So intense! It kept my on the edge of my seat and my heart racing it kept making me wonder what’s gonna happen next. I kept saying do this and don’t do that but I keep forgetting that she’s deaf and I kept thinking this is gonna happen then something else totally different happened. I am so surprised that many people said they didn’t like it... The acting is Amazing Btw! MUST WATCH!

IMDB Rating – 6.6/10

Director –  Mike Flanagan

Producer – Stephen King

Cast –Mike Flanagan, Jeff Howard

Release Date –  May 1992

Language – English

Story –

A woman accidentally kills her husband during a kinky game. Handcuffed to her bed with no hope of rescue, she begins hearing voices and seeing strange visions.

Review - (Source: Google Search)

❤ Mike Flanagan give total justice to a superb book. Carla Gugino & Bruce Greenwood just did a fantastic job. I mean bruce sometimes look like a villain and sometimes he just poke her and try to protect her that's a fascinating combination. But I don't like the end of it he can make it better or maybe he leave the story where she became a Shrink.

❤Ok, so this movie...this movie has good production value, good special effects, good acting, good editing...but the pacing, to me, it was too slow. The movie had really long open dialogues with the dead which just seemed really uninteresting to me. And I also thought that the ending was prolonged for too much...it could have been a bit more interesting in the way that they told Stephen King's story, since we already know that he's very lengthy in his writing formula. All in all it was a sort of a cool experience, I'm gonna give it a 6/10.

❤ Am I the only person who watched this movie in its entirety, pausing it a few times just to confirm and felt, without a shadow of a doubt that her troubles could have all been over much sooner if she would have just stood the hell up! She sure could've gotten out of them handcuffs with much more finesse! I've read the comments about how overcoming her fear helped her through her situation. Seems to me she psychologically stunted herself. Just my thoughts.

❤ Total FANTASTIC!!!!!!... Superb.. and everyone should watch it...Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment are Outstanding...Hats Off to M.Night Shyamalan again...There are a couple of problems you'll mark while watching this movie (I noticed it too)... but none of it can change my review bout this Masterpiece!!!! Also.. Best Ending Scene in the History of Hollywood!!!!!!! A Must Watch 9/10 from me...

❤ An absolute treat undoubtedly for thriller lovers. The intriguing storyline and balanced performances keep the audience enthralled till the very end which gives you the most unexpected twist you can imagine. A wonderfully crafted piece of art, it will leave an indelible impression on you.

❤ This movie is absolutely great.  It is a classic that anyone who is in to movies should definitely watch.  Shyamalan's use of themes and symbols is masterful.  The dialogue is perfect.  This is one of the best films of the nineties.

❤ You know why its great? Because it copied the Babadook -- in Persian context. Aside from the terror and paranormal dimension of the story, it adds the socio-political condition of post Islamic revolution of Iranian society which makes this film a unique compare to other generic and old story line shown in the west.

❤ A different kind of horror. The movie takes us through the the terrors of war for ordinary people. An outstanding thriller.

❤ Its a new level of horror film making, every one should watch this movie. And its casting is bravoo.

Loved it! Not a big suspense movie. You get an idea of where the movie is heading by the first 30 mins. I still love how they play on the ''is it? Is it not?'' It keeps you intrigued figuring out what is happening although deep down you know exactly what it is. The end is absolutely great. I would definitely have liked that ending to be longer and show more scenes of what happens then ~ 7/10 for suspense/thriller

❤ Fabulous slow burner thriller shot in an Uber cool
House. I love the fact we’re rooting for Will but at some point, you think just what’s going on here. Very enjoyable

❤ The movie is just like a wine(giving you a spoiler there) the older it gets the better it becomes for the first half and much of second half it's building the momentum and in last 20 minutes or so all is revealed the reality just collapse on you. It's a must watch.

❤ This is a must watch. This movie had me cringing at times, due to the suspense it gives off. Thus being said I read some of the reviews on here, and I have to agree with most that the final shot is a work of art. What an ending. Good movie by far.
